The inhalation of smoke is the primary cause of death for victims of indoor fires and can also cause major respiratory injury of those who survive a fire. Disys Technologies damper control systems provide independent, manual control of all fire & smoke dampers, and in the event of a fire will close/open instantly to stop smoke from spreading around the building, providing fresh air or smoke extraction where needed.

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order it is a legal requirement to test fire dampers at regular intervals in accordance with fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings code of practice (BS:9999 2017). To comply with the regulatory reform, Disys Technologies offer fire and smoke damper maintenance checks and recommend that one of our fully qualified engineers checks and certifies the operation of the damper control system at least once a year.
